Program Description:

Other IES Programs

For those students who are not able to find a good fit with any of our traditional UP Study Abroad programs, the university has partnered with IES Abroad to offer alternative programs in locations around the world. IES Abroad offers more than 120 programs in over 15 different countries, each providing a fun, safe, and superior academic and cultural environment for a variety of students coming from dozens of universities across America.

Every program is a little different, but each location will offer a local IES center that is staffed by dedicated professionals who are there to help coordinate the many details that go into ensuring a successful experience for each student.

If you are considering applying for an IES program other than the Nantes semester program, please visit for more information regarding each of the available programs.

Please note: Although students who complete an IES program abroad will earn credit toward their degree that will transfer directly onto their UP transcript, because tuition remission and UP institutional aid can only be used for IES Abroad programs that are required for a student's major, students that are applying for summer and semester programs other than the Nantes program will not be able to use these types of aid. For questions regarding your financial aid and how it will apply to a semester abroad, please contact Molly Walsh in the Financial Aid office.
